[ All of the best gladiators had been brought out today to put on their best show for the audience. Not only was the ruler of Reim in her box high above the stands today, but there was visiting royalty. The young king of Sindria was here on business and was gracing the Arena with his presence. Rumors were already flying about why he was here and what he might possibly want, but as his motivations were - as always - a complete mystery to the rest of the world, the gamemasters could only present their best specimens in a hope to please and entertain him.
It seemed to have been a smashing success, at least, as the young king had remained for the entire show, wining and dining in a private box high above the arena. When one of the arena's most well-known gladiators, a young boy with a bright shock of red hair, won his match without breaking a sweat, Sinbad dispatched one of his retainers to fetch him to his private box, wanting to inspect the boy in person. ]
[Masrur had not paid attention to putting on a entertaining performance. He was here to fight and to prove himself to everyone else. His fighting skills were second to none. And that's what he showcased to everyone. When he was summoned by someone to see Sinbad, he simply agreed.
Arriving up in the private box, he stood there, looking at Sinbad with his narrowed eyes. He didn't open his mouth at all, just waiting to see what this man would say.]
[ Sinbad waves the others out of the private compartment with a simple gesture of his hand before gesturing the boy close, motioning to the long sofa he is perched on. ]
There you are. Come in, sit down? Are you hungry? I've had food and drink brought. That was quite a fight you had down there. You've earned some celebrating and relaxation, I think.
[Masrur simply nods as he moves to sit down, reaching forward to grab some of the food and look at Sinbad. He never got called up anywhere, so he's just watching the man as if waiting for him to tell him what he wants.]
[A simple question. It's not as if he really cares one way or another. He fights because he's good at it. Young and small as he is. He looks at Sinbad.]
hey dumbass haven't you ever been in heat before???
[Masrur recognizes the scent. It's an obvious scent that can't be avoided when you're an Alpha. The scent of an Omega who, if left alone, will find himself in a world of trouble. A world of being forced to be some Alpha's prized possession and kept under lock and key.
But the palace was mostly empty. There was no one else really around. Masrur had been walking through the halls for the most part, and had only seen servants, who were all mated themselves or betas, and Sharrkan.
Oh.
He stepped back to the hallway where he saw Sharrkan trying to walk. And when he got back there, he certainly was doing a far worse job than before. He moved up behind him as he began to catch the scent fully.]
[ Sharrkan jumps at the unexpected voice from behind him, having been so caught up in the strange way his body had started aching earlier that he hadn't even heard Masrur approach.
...Not that that's difficult - the man really did walk with all the silent grace of a predator.
But he levels a narrowed scowl at the other man anyway... at least until those words come out of Masrur's mouth and he tenses up, alarmed. And then starts backing away. He's been on inhibitors for years, taken the potion faithfully at the new moon every month - ever since the day he'd reached maturity and his body had started announcing what he was to anyone within range.
He couldn't afford to be an omega - it was a vulnerability he refused to accept, so he's been pushing it off for years now, keeping it buried with magic and herbalism so it was a secret only a select few knew.
Except for now, apparently. What the hell, he'd taken his potion this month and everything! There is no way Masrur should have picked up on that now when Sharrkan's successfully hidden it for years! ]
[He moves in closer, leaning in to look at Sharrkan's face. As if that would give him away. His eyes looking up and down Sharrkan's body. He doesn't believe it. Everything about Sharrkan screams that he's not an Alpha. He's not shaped like one, he doesn't act like one.
[ To be fair, Sharrkan's now doubting his inhibitors are actually working. So Masrur might get a whiff of omega lingering just beneath the surface, whether Sharrkan wants that to be found out or not.
But then Masrur moves in close and Sharrkan jolts a little, stumbling back a step because Masrur is very definitely in his personal space and there's a part of him that likes that a little too much.
The last thing he needs is the Alpha also scenting his attraction next. ]
[That's really dangerous. Because Masrur is already sprinting after him, getting closer with each step.
If he only just kept denying. He might have got away with it. But now Masrur is going to hunt him down and mate him. Whether Sharrkan says he's an Alpha or not.]
[He likes them young. The older he gets, the more money he gains, the more he likes the high school Omegas. Usually, when he finds one, he pays for whatever they want in exchange for their virginity and perhaps their first pregnancy. Which usually meant they'd mate him and he'd get another one for his collection.
It's what he enjoys. And he shouldn't be faulted for that.
So he's sitting by his car, a block away from the high school, waiting for his latest catch to come this way. Whatever they wanted, they'd get.
[ He's seen the car there before - always the same one, always parked at the same corner. There were whispers and rumors about school, a bunch of wild hearsay that ranged from the incredulous to the terrifying. All this time Sharrkan's kept his distance, but today he's distracted. Frustrated. The emotion is clear on his face as he kicks a rock ahead of him down the sidewalk, stalling as long as he can on actually returning back home now that classes were done for the day. ]
[ He hadn't even realized there was someone outside the car today, and the voice has him stopping short and blinking in confusion. Was this guy talking to him? And what did he mean? ]
[ Sharrkan just stops in his tracks and stares at the stranger in confusion. he's not close enough to get a whiff of his scent from here, but that's... just an odd thing to say to someone you don't even know. ]
Haven't you ever heard you're not supposed to take candy from strangers?
[When it came to Omega, Masrur wanted a good amount for himself. That was just his nature of the Fanalis clan. Large families with plenty of children. So even with one under his belt, one who was pregnant, another one was to be added to the list.
He didn't really have to go far to smell one. And with beautiful skin and hair, it was an easy pick. Moving up behind him, he wrapped his arms around him. Because kidnapping Omegas was just fine, in his mind. This one wasn't mated.]
You smell good.
[He grunted, lifting Kaeya off the ground and into his arms.]
[ That... hadn't been what he'd expected when made port in this unfamiliar city. There had been a severe lack of information and trade coming out of this port of late and he'd been sent to investigate. Although he hadn't even left the harbor yet, because he could tell the city had recently gone through some sort of chaos. Riots or battle, it was still hard to tell.
He'd been intending to head in towards the marketplace when arms wrapped around him from behind and he hisses in surprise, reacting on instinct and summoning his ice in defense as he chills the limbs trying to trap him. ]
What the fuck, most people introduce themselves with a hello.
Tiny harem boi? >.>

did you? ;)

That's weird, you know.
YEAH. YEAH I DID.
He takes a deep breath in.]
...No. You smell like an Omega.
[He lets out a growl.]

At the sound of that growl, Sharrkan abruptly staggers back away from the Alpha in front of him in surprise.
And then probably does the stupidest thing he could in that moment - he turns around and runs. ]
